NEW ARRIVALS

THROUGH THE EYES OF A VULTURE (2020)

The new, three-part collection of original works by B. Mikitowicz, Through the Eyes of a Vulture includes a full-length fiction novel, a short epistolary novel, and a book of poetry, all tied together by one central character—Jack Chestnut.

In the Shadow of a Vulture is a story fraught with comedy, imagination, and heart framed in a thought-provoking ode to modern love at the dawn of the 21st century.

The Big Adventures of a Salty Little Man contains the letters and musings of Jack Chestnut, written during his eventful and often disappointing time abroad.

The Song of Her Sea calls out to long-lost lovers and dejected souls with the emotional ebbs and flows of its verse.

COMPLETED WORKS

THE BIG ADVENTURES OF A SALTY LITTLE MAN (2016)

B. Mikitowicz’s most anticipated work. It contains a collection of laugh-a-minute, editorials written as Ian Mieszkowski, as he travels the world in search of women and a calling. While he finds neither in a timely manner, it remains an incredibly rich and entertaining journey.

Somewhere in between truth and fiction, this story is packed with self-deprecation, clever observations, and unexpected heart. Each chapter funnier than the last, each adventure crazier than the one before it.

IN THE SHADOW OF A VULTURE: THIRD EDITION (2016)

If you have an imaginary girlfriend, never confess that you are in love with her. Aside from the fact being incredibly pathetic, she may be a ghost and ghosts are crazy. Also, even if you are a decent artist, it is not recommended that you draw pictures of your imaginary lover because your roommate is liable to use those weird drawings against you as a practical joke. Finally, if you happen to cross paths with an animal that has escaped from the zoo, never feed it; just call the zoo. Strange advice? Certainly. But not to the unflappable Jack Chestnut, an American bartender working in London in 2006. He would tell you the same thing.

“Packed, fast-paced with gritty surprises all over the place.” This book is one of a kind. Given an earnest opportunity or even whim, “In the Shadow of a Vulture” will stay with you like an unforgettable dream.

However, since religion is weird and not coolest thing to talk about, he keeps it a secret. Thanks to Dick Cheney, an otherwise celebratory evening is completely ruined when the local McDonald’s, plummets to hell in a flash-sinkhole, followed by a giant demon-dragon flying out of the smoldering abyss to melt a line of cars, before flying off into the night. Pac, at this point, has a change of heart. As popularity becomes irrelevant, his survival becomes mandatory, and he decides to have a second look at those secret prophesies he’s been jotting down for years...if they can make it home without being torn apart in the chaos.

CHRONICLES OF THE HAM VOLUME I: SUMMER OF THE AUSHLANDER

Sometimes it's not just what you see when you are traveling. Rather, it's who you meet, and what you do that changes you. 2002, despite 9/11, the plan was still 9 months working and going to school in Europe. However, under the formation of the European Union, migrant worker programs changed overnight. This affected about 75 Americans, Australians, New Zealanders, Jamaicans, English, Scottish, Irish, South Africans, and Canadians*, including Bart, Dave, Curt, and Chris. Seeing “Plan A” fall apart in four days in was a little depressing for everyone.  But what happened over the next nine months couldn’t be made up. Mikitowicz's only non-fiction. Coming Soon.
